Plastic pumps
DKM pumps suit the needs of the end user : double diaphragm pumps, plunger
pumps, chemical injection package, and fluid metering.
The diaphragm pump must be used, although the problem remains as regards
check valve seats, particularly if there are also impurities in the liquid
to be pumped. These particles may be blocked on the seat momentarily and
cut into it due to the abrasive liquid flowing back and forth. DKM has developed
inserts in the seats to take this phenomenon into account and restore tightness
through a flattening effect once the impurities have been removed.
Apart from a few exceptions, a filter press discharges useless waste and
the plastic pumps that supplies the filter press is not part of the production
facilities. This element is generally ignored by companies, and people put
off having to discuss it for as long as possible.
Maintenance costs must on no account be a worry for the user. Some pumps
available on the market, and specifically designed to cater for the task,
are cheap to buy but prove very expensive to maintain.
From its industrial standard range, DKM has developed pumps for this particular
usage.
They are equipped with a static device for hydropneumatic control of the
flow rate according to the pressure, and they press down the cake at the
plugging pressure (usually 15 bars). They require next to no maintenance
and wearing parts are limited. The 25-year service lives required in the
industrial field are attained..
